Networks mean that two or more people are sharing information and resources between them.
these network have a set of rules or protocols.
for example : i speak English and your brain can explain everything and give you a set of information according to your experience in the language , but if i speak french you will not understand anything because you did not recognize the language .
So Networks are sharing information through certain rules .
It can be exchanged between tow people or tow devices .
There are many examples of networks ...(Bluetooth)
when i want to send a particular application or image to another device , this is called a network .
In fact there are tow uses of computer networks :
1- Business application of networks.
2- Home application of networks .
Scientists for example spoke in trade networks are used but not over the internet and this networks is called network clients who come to take some stuff from the stores .
why not develop this concept and make it into the internet where we integrate networks with business computer there we have a concept Business application of networks
Examples : client to server that means we create a server that contains all the resources that i own and the client can access these sources and make a reservation or take some sources regardless of whether they are paid or free ..
There is another type of business application of networks
Skype i can make business meetings or exchange information or experience through meetings ...
The other type of networks is called
Home application of networks
the first type is intended to work online and earn money
while this type makes the user feel that he gets interest while the person who provided this service does not benefit anything .

also we have YouTube,Twitter,Wikipedia
all this networks provide services for free ..
but actually the owners of these sources use the first type of networks but they have merged these two types and what you see is second type .
these networks actually profit from users but put them in front of a layer that makes the user thinks that he takes services for free
